Texas Alliance for Life PAC Endorses Tom Mechler for Re-Election to Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas

AUSTIN, TX — Texas Alliance for Life PAC announces its endorsement of Tom Mechler for re-election to Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas.

Mechler is seeking re-election after succeeding Steve Munisteri as chairman after Munisteri stepped down in March 2015 to campaign for a presidential candidate. Munisteri has endorsed Mechler.

“We believe the Republican Party needs a leader it can count on to uphold conservative, pro-life principles,” said Joe Pojman, Ph.D., executive director of Texas Alliance for Life. “I personally know Tom to be of the highest personal integrity. I also know he is highly effective at building up the party to continue to elect solidly pro-life candidates throughout the state. We strongly encourage delegates at the Republican State Convention in Dallas to re-elect Tom Mechler for State Chairman.”

More than 10,000 delegates and alternate delegates are expected to attend the Republican State Convention in Dallas on Thursday, May 12, through Saturday, May 14. The vote for state party chairman will take place on Friday. The chairman has a two-year term.
