The Texas Alliance for Life Annual Benefit Dinner, on October 20, 2018, was the best ever — with donations raised in excess of $400,000! We celebrated 30 years as an organization with more than 1,300 pro-life leaders, partners, advocates, and supporters from across Texas. Numerous elected officials were present to share the message of hope and the celebration of life.

State Representative Cindy Burkett set the tone for the evening as she emceed the program with warmth and enthusiasm. Cindy, we are grateful for all you did to make our event the success it was and we also want to express our gratitude for all you’ve done to support the pro-life movement during your time in office.

Keynote: Katy Talento

We had the honor of hearing from our keynote, Katy Talento, Special Assistant to the President for Health Policy. We celebrate with Katy the fact that our movement, the greatest civil rights movement in history, is winning ground. Younger and younger people are joining the ranks of pro-life freedom fighters. We stand in solidarity together as we stand for and with each pregnant mom in crisis, who longs to discover there is a better choice than abortion. And we are not done winning, we’ve only just begun. Funding the Future

The talented Abby Johnson, founder of And Then There Were None, highlighted Texas Alliance for Life the most effective pro-life legislative group in the state of Texas, and in her opinion, the whole United States. Because of the work Texas Alliance for Life has done in the past 30 years, 40,000 babies lives have been saved. When you implement 24-hour waiting periods for women, when you get parents involved and implement parental notification, when Planned Parenthood clinics are forced to close, when ultrasound images are offered — babies lives are saved. Our giving makes these things possible. Abby challenged us to support TAL and the pro-life cause not just generously, but sacrificially — to go without, so that women, children, and families in Texas can go with.
