On Saturday, January 25, 2025, thousands of pro-life Texans from across the state gathered at the Texas Capitol in Austin for the Texas Rally for Life, sending a clear message to legislators and the media: Texas is and will remain a pro-life state.
More than 20 buses transported groups from cities across Texas to participate in this powerful annual event, made possible by the dedication of over 60 host committee organizations.
This event is held each year to commemorate the tragic Roe v. Wade decision, which imposed legal abortion on Texas and the nation for nearly five decades. This year, we celebrated the historic victory of Roe‘s overturning while recognizing that our work is far from over. We must continue standing for life, supporting mothers and babies, and protecting the pro-life policies that have saved countless lives.

Abortion survivor and Texas Alliance for Life Board Member Claire Culwell served as the emcee at the 2025 Texas Rally for Life on Saturday, January 25, at the Capitol in Austin. Enjoy her emcee clip here, where she shares a glimpse of her story.

His Excellency, Most Reverend Joe Vásquez, Archbishop of Galveston-Houston, led the invocation and encouraged us in our mission.

State Representative Ellen Troxclair is a pro-life champion representing District 19, the heart of the beautiful Hill Country. She has served one term and has a 100% pro-life voting record. We were honored to have her speak to the 2025 Texas Rally for Life attendees!

Senator Cornyn has been a steadfast defender of the unborn throughout his years of public service. Although he could not attend the rally to speak in person, Senator Cornyn sent a message to the attendees.

Sylvia B. Johnson co-founded the Houston Pregnancy Help Center, which serves over 20,000 clients annually through four locations and two mobile medical units in the greater Houston area. We invite you to listen to her inspiring message.

In December 2020, Texas Alliance for Life Public Policy Analyst Deirdre Cooper received the news that her beloved eighth child likely had Trisomy 18, also known as Edwards syndrome, a severe chromosomal abnormality. She shared her story about her and her family’s love for her son Bosco.

Dr. Joe Pojman is the founder and executive director of Texas Alliance for Life. He has advocated for pro-life legislation in our Capitol for over 35 years. He highlighted that Texas’s pro-life laws protect women and babies and shared how we must continue our efforts to maintain our state’s pro-life gains.

Corey Tabor is the TX Regional Director of Church Engagement for Care Net, a ministry supporting those facing unplanned pregnancies. He highlighted the importance of choosing abundant life before leading the closing prayer.
