AUSTIN, TX — Texas Alliance for Life State PAC proudly announces its endorsement of Governor Greg Abbott for reelection in the upcoming Texas Primary Election to be held on Tuesday, March 3.
Governor Abbott has been a steadfast champion for protecting innocent human life and ensuring Texas continues to lead the nation in advancing pro-life laws and programs that support women and families.
“Governor Abbott’s consistent, principled leadership has transformed Texas into a state that both protects unborn babies and provides tremendous care for women and families,” said Amy O’Donnell, Acting Executive Director of Texas Alliance for Life. “Under his leadership, Texas passed the Human Life Protection Act, the Life of the Mother Act, and expanded funding to the Thriving Texas Families Program. We are confident he will continue to defend life with courage and compassion, and the Texas Alliance for Life State PAC wholeheartedly endorses Governor Abbott for re-election.”
Governor Abbott’s record includes signing into law some of the most significant pro-life measures in Texas history, including:
- HB 1280, the Human Life Protection Act, protecting life from conception after the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
- The Life of the Mother Act (SB 31), ensuring physicians and hospital attorneys clearly understand the standard of care Texas law allows when a mother’s life or health is jeopardized by pregnancy.
- The Texas Woman and Child Protection Act (HB 7), adding enforcement tools to stop the illegal distribution of chemical abortion drugs that endanger women and take innocent lives.
- SB 1388, safeguarding Thriving Texas Families Program funds to ensure grants go exclusively to life-affirming organizations that serve women and families across Texas.
- SB 33, ending taxpayer-funded abortion travel and logistics support,
- SB 22 to ensure tax dollars aren’t used to support abortion providers or their affiliates
- Historic funding increases for the Thriving Texas Families Program, supporting the work of pregnancy centers, maternity homes, and adoption agencies providing real help and hope to women and families.
