Because of Byron Cook and the House State Affairs Committee that he chairs, pro-life bills are on the move in the Texas House. The Committee has voted out 11 pro-life bills so far!
Each bill represents a significant advance in the pro-life movement, and all are able to withstand a challenge in state or federal court. Passing these bills will assure Texas another sensational legislative session. Here is a link to a list of those bills.
Those include bills to shut down Planned Parenthood’s trafficking of baby body parts, ban the practice of grinding and flushing the bodies of aborted babies down sewer systems, ban funding of Planned Parenthood at the local level, and protect women and girls from from forced abortion.
The House has already passed three so far, including HB 3771 that Chairman Cook himself authored. That bill corrects the definition of abortion in Texas law so that treatment for an ectopic pregnancy is no longer classified as an elective abortion. HB 35 bans abortion facilities from using inhumane methods of disposition of the bodies of the babies who die from abortion. No babies should be treated as mere medical waste.

Byron Cook is a recipient of Texas Alliance for Life’s Courageous Defense of Life award and is considered to be a champion for life by most pro-life leaders.
