House and Senate rules prevent further movement of this bill. House Bill 3008 was favorably voted out of the Judiciary and Civil Jurisprudence Committee on Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Please contact and urge your Texas state representative to support House Bill 3008.

Please urge your Texas state representative to support HB 3008 to eliminate wrongful birth lawsuits in Texas.

In a wrongful birth action, parents seek damages for a child born with birth defects. The claim for damages is based on the cost to parents of raising an unexpectedly disabled child.

Pro-life Texas State Rep. Ron SImmons (R-Denton) is authoring this excellent bill to protect children with disabilities .
