SAN ANTONIO, TX — Texas Alliance for Life PAC announces its endorsement of Cindy Asche for election to Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas. Some 10,000 delegates and alternate delegates are expected to attend the Republican State Convention in San Antonio on Thursday, June 14, through Saturday, June 16. The vote for state party chairman will take place on Friday. The chairman has a two-year term.
“We believe the Republican Party needs a leader it can count on to uphold conservative, pro-life principles that will advance protections for mothers and unborn babies,” said Davida Stike, president of Texas Alliance for Life. “I personally know Cindy Asche to be staunchly pro-life from conception to natural death. I also know she has an extremely impressive background as a health care professional who has worked to save the lives prematurely born precious babies and who has managed large organizations with multi-million dollar budgets and hundreds of people. We believe she will be highly effective at building the party to continue to elect solidly pro-life candidates. We strongly encourage delegates at the Republican State Convention in San Antonio to elect Cindy Asche for State Chairman.”
Asche has been active in Republican Party activities for decades. From serving as a Precinct Chair in Denton and Collin counties to the Dallas-Area Team Captain for the Mighty Texas Strike Force to elect President Donald J. Trump. She currently serves on the Candidate Resource Committee, the fundraising arm for local candidates for the Republican Party of Texas.
“This is the first time she has run for a statewide party office, and we are excited about the fresh vision of success she will bring,” added Stike.
For more information, delegates, alternate delegates, guests, and media can visit the Texas Alliance for Life booth (#428) in the Exhibit Hall or attend Texas Alliance for Life’s Pro-Life Reception on Thursday at 5:30 – 7:00 PM in the Grand Hyatt (convention hotel) Texas Ballroom A.
We will recognize leaders in the Texas Legislature who helped make the sessions in 2017 the most successful in the history of Texas.
