Speakers:
ANTHONY LEVATINO, M.D., J.D.
Dr. Levatino is a Board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist who recently retired after 40 years in the medical field. He is also a former lawyer and a former associate professor of OB/GYN at Albany Medical Center, where, additionally, he served as the Medical Student Director and Residency Program Director. Dr. Levatino performed nearly 1,200 abortions as a routine part of his practice in the early years. Still, his views on abortion began to change after a tragic accident killed his 5-year-old daughter, Heather. Today, he is a staunch and vocal pro-life advocate who has testified before Congress several times about the brutal nature of abortion.
TERRY WILLIAMS | BOARD MEMBER
Terry Williams has been involved in pro-life ministry for almost 30 years in a variety of ways, including Director and Presenter of a successful sexual risk avoidance program and Executive Director of a Care Net Pregnancy Center in Texas. Terry currently serves as a Care Net Center Services Specialist and is qualified to train and consult Boards, Volunteers, and Staff in pregnancy center work and ministry for pregnancy centers across the US. Terry frequently speaks at Banquets, Women’s Events, and provided testimony to Legislators in Texas. As a Texas Alliance for Life Board member, Terry serves on the Public Policy Committee. In this role, Terry has been instrumental in working towards building a culture of life by helping to pass some of the strongest anti-abortion laws in the nation. Terry lives on a ranch in Texas with her husband, Mark.
DR. JOE POJMAN | TEXAS ALLIANCE FOR LIFE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Dr. Pojman is the founder and executive director of Texas Alliance for Life, a non-partisan, non-sectarian, pro-life organization committed to protecting innocent human beings from conception until natural death. He has lobbied for pro-life issues in the state Capitol for more than 33 years, and under his. With the TAL board’s direction, Texas Alliance for Life has helped bring into law many major pro-life bills, including the parental notice and consent laws, the Prenatal Protection (personhood) Act, the Woman’s Right to Know bill, the Sonogram Law, the Choose Life license plate bill, defunding Planned Parenthood, the 20-week ban and safety regulations in House Bill 2, protecting women from sex trafficking at abortion facilities, the Alternative to Abortion program, and many others.
LANCE PETERSON | DIRECTOR OF FINANCIAL DEVELOPMENT
Peterson has a bachelor’s from Michigan State University’s School of Hospitality Business and an M.B.A. in International Management. After spending seven years in hotel sales and marketing, Lance spent two years in Asia working for the U.S. Department of Commerce. In 2000, Lance moved to Austin, Texas, from Vietnam to work for Wayport and, later, with STSN, in their sales and marketing divisions, where he sold and consulted on network installations.
CHORBISHOP DON SAWYER | INVOCATION SPEAKER
Chorbishop Don J. Sawyer, D. Min, is Pastor of Our Lady’s Maronite Parish, of the Eparchy (diocese) of Our Lady of Lebanon of Los Angeles. A native Austinite, Abouna (Father in Arabic) Sawyer was ordained a Maronite priest on April 27, 1974, and founded Our Lady’s in 1983. He received his Doctorate of Ministry in 1991 from Austin Presbyterian Seminary. He was ordained a Chorbishop by Most Reverend Elias Zaidan on July 25, 2021.
PASTOR JONATHAN SPENCER | BENEDICTION SPEAKER
Jonathan serves as the Senior Pastor at Austin Baptist Church in Austin, TX. Jonathan served for nearly 12 years as an Associate Pastor at Second Baptist Church in Houston, under the leadership of Dr. Ed Young.
Pastor Jonathan has been married to his beautiful wife, Bethany, for 12 years, and they have 3 wonderful kids: Emma, Jacob, and Daniel. He is a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, and he went on to earn his Masters at Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate at Gateway Seminary in California. Away from the church, Jonathan loves BBQing in the backyard, watching football and basketball, deer hunting, game nights with friends, and spending time with his family.
